چکیده

Explicit expressions for the occupation time distribution of Brownian bridge, excursion and meander are derived using Kac’s formula and results of [4]. The first two distributions appeared in [8], and were derived using weak convergence of simple random walk.

Cyclically Stationary Brownian Local Time Processes

Local time processes parameterized by a circle, de ned by the occupation density up to time T of Brownian motion with constant drift on the circle, are studied for various random times T . While such processes are typically non-Markovian, their Laplace functionals are expressed by series formulae related to similar formulae for the Markovian local time processes subject to the Ray-Knight theore...

Look-back stopping times and their applications to liquidation risk and exotic options

In addition to first passage times, many look-back stopping times play a significant role in modeling various risks in insurance and finance as well as in defining financial instruments. Motivated by many recently arisen problems in risk management and exotic options, we study some look-back stopping times including drawdown and drawup, Parisian time and inverse occupation time of some time-hom...

Exponential functionals of Brownian motion, II: Some related diffusion processes

This is the second part of our survey on exponential functionals of Brownian motion. We focus on the applications of the results about the distributions of the exponential functionals, which have been discussed in the first part. Pricing formula for call options for the Asian options, explicit expressions for the heat kernels on hyperbolic spaces, diffusion processes in random environments and ...

Oscillating Brownian Motion

An 'oscillating' version of Brownian motion is defined and studied. 'Ordinary' Brownian motion and 'reflecting' Brownian motion are shown to arise as special cases. Transition densities, first-passage time distributions, and occupation time distributions for the process are obtained explicitly. Convergence of a simple oscillating random walk to an oscillating Brownian motion process is establis...

Occupation Times for Markov-Modulated Brownian Motion

We determine the distributions of occupation times of a Markov-modulated Brownian motion (MMBM) in separate intervals before a first passage time or an exit from an interval. They will be derived in terms of their Laplace transforms, distinguishing occupation times in different phases too. For MMBMs with strictly positive variation parameters we further propose scale functions.
